I am very happy and proud to announce that the much awaited ATMA Young Physician section (ATMA -YPS) was created during the Atlanta Convention on September 2016. As the first Chairman of ATMA-YPS, I am excited to see this section born, to cater to the growing needs of young Tamil medical professionals across the globe. I sincerely thank the immediate past and current presidents and other office bearers for facilitating the formation of this section.
The ATMA-YPS includes physicians who are in their first 5 years of medical practice, current fellows, residents, medical students and Tamil medical scholars across the world, who wish to pursue their career here.
This section is committed to enhancing the careers of young Tamil physician population by networking and increasing connectivity within our community, to grow leadership in the healthcare industry, to further physician knowledge base, to provide community service opportunities, CME activities and other valuable resources for early medical career.
I call upon all young Tamil medical professionals to become a part of this forum. Together we can make a stronger and bigger organization to help each other to face challenges in the early part of the medical career and to achieve our educational and social goals.
To realize these goals, I once again strongly encourage you to become a member in ATMA.
I request you to share your valuable feedback and questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
